SWARMFEST 2016: 20th Annual Meeting on Agent Based Modeling & Simulation at University of Vermont

Swarmfest 2016, hosted in Burlington, Vermont on July 31- August 2, was a low-key environment for researchers to explore new ideas and approaches, and benefit from a multi-disciplinary approach to complex problems. This year was an outstanding success with research presented from a wide range of disciplines utilizing agent-based modeling to further understand ecological systems, land-use and hydrology of the Lake Champlain Basin, affordable health care networks, global financial systems, and human immune responses, to name a few.

Special thanks to Swarm Development Group (SDG), UVM Complex Systems Lab, Social Ecological Gaming and Simulation Lab (SEGS), Gund Institute for Ecological Economics, Vermont EPSCoR, and Institute for Environmental Diplomacy and Security (IEDS) for supporting Swarmfest 2016!
